Die Erfolgsgeschichte dieses Jazz-Standards begann im Jahre 1965 mit dem Musical The Roar of the Greasepoint – the Smell of the Crowd, das im Gegensatz zu Feeling Good mittlerweile in Vergessenheit geraten ist. Feeling Good hingegen wurde von vielen großen Künstlern interpretiert, wie z. B. Nina Simone, Sammy Davis Jr. und Michael Bublé. Stefan Schwalgin sorgte für diese effektvolle Bearbeitung für Soloposaune und Blasorchester im Bigbandstil von Michael Bublé.
