If you are trying to find the town of Soulville on a map, you will definitely not succeed. It is fictitious and only exists in the imagination of the composer Lars Ericsen. For him, it is the centre of soul music: Soulville, a mecca for countless fans from all over the world who make the pilgrimage to "their" capital for the love of "their" music. Soul is a black and blues-soaked variety of rock. Soul interpreters like Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles or James Brown have shaped this special style and made it famous.
