Solo for Flute Solo für Flöte
The Caribbean is the source of an abundance of beautiful and especially rhythmic music. People living there experience and practice dancing and motion in a very natural way. If somebody starts to beat a rhythm on a drum, the others cannot keep still. Soon a small group is being formed, and people start to sing and dance together. Children too have a special feeling for enthusiasm, "joie de vivre" and motion from the first days of their lives on. The best known dance of the region is the calypso. The piece LITTLE GIRL FROM TRINIDAD was composed for flute(s) and band in calypso manner. At first the beautiful tune is introduced in a simple way, while it becomes more elaborate as the piece proceeds. The solo part always appears in a carefree and easygoing way above the accompaniment. Simply confront your audience with enthusiasm and pleasures of life!
