With his polka "Rosamunde“ Bohemian composer Jaromír Vejvoda landed a real world hit. Composed in 1927 his original work was titled "Škoda lásky“ (“Wasted Love”) and after translation into several other languages it became popular all around the world. In Anglo-American language areas the song became successful as "Beer Barrel Polka“ through swinging versions, e.g. by Glenn Miller or the Andrews Sisters. Kurt Gäble orients himself on the original Bohemian character of the polka and at the same time provides an absolute up to date version of this well-known classic.
