"Swingin' BC" - composed for the 50th anniversary of the County of Biberach (BC)

Dear Musicians:
Wind band music is an integral part of the Biberach county, and more than 110 community bands shape the music culture in our homeland. With your commitment you are making a very personal contribution – I thank you very much for that. In 2023, Biberach county will celebrate its 50th anniversary. The "Biberacher Kreismarsch” (Biberach County March) commissioned by the then Chief County Administrator Dr. Wilfried Steuer and composed by Siegfried Rundel, which all our bands have in their repertoire, has represented our county musically for 40 years now. With a view to our anniversary, we would like, encouraged by my predecessor Dr. Heiko Schmid, add a lively piece to the "Biberacher Kreismarsch". I am therefore very pleased to be able to present “Swingin’ BC” to you. It was composed by Stefan Schwalgin, who works artfully with the tones B and C and thus also alludes to the abbreviation of the county of Biberach (BC). My thanks go to the composer Stefan Schwalgin and above all to the music publisher RUNDEL, which has been an irreplaceable partner for the band music scene in Biberach county for decades. I wish you, dear musicians, a lot of fun with the new piece. I would be happy if "Swingin' BC" was well received by many wind bands and, above all, by the audience. I hope the county of Biberach swings everywhere in the anniversary year 2023 - and far beyond.
