Drivin' Rock
One of the most important attributes of a pirate is his brashness. It’s the same kind of boldness that young instrumentalists need for their first performances. At this specific moment they have to gather all their courage and present what they have rehearsed so studiously. The young musicians stand in front of the audience as bravely as the pirate facing down his dangerous adventures. This boldness blends well with rock sounds, according to composer Markus Götz. So he wrote the driving rock piece “Pirates of Rock” for the RUNDEL eXplora series – a great concert work for younger bands where young “music pirates” can show how fearlessly they can perform in front of an audience.
