Fun Train
Tsch, Tsch, Tschk, Tschk-Tschk, Tschk-Tschk-Tschk-Tschk... a loud whistle and off we go to a jolly journey with the fun train into the land of rhythm. It whistles loud on every bridge we pass. The low instruments have a lot of fun and now it’s time for the high instruments to make room and play the accompaniment. In the end our funny little train is tired… Tschk..., Tschk....., Tschk......., Tschhhh........ All out please!

Little Drummerman
Marching with music is clearly easier than marching without music. A drum, especially the snare drum, is perfect to give the beat and once you internalise the rhythm marching happens almost on its own. The middle part of a March is called “Trio” because it was originally played by only three instruments. Here you can hear syncopation – a note that cannot wait to sound – and the march sounds all happy and playful. So it’s good we have the drummerman to keep us in time!
