Kees Vlak created a cute little musical fairytale, the theme and variations are based on the magical story of "Cinderella". After her father's death, the lovely girl is tormented by her stepmother and stepsisters. Thanks to the magical help of a fairy godmother and because of a lost shoe that only fits Cinderella, she finds her happy ending with the prince.
A narrator may read the fairytale to the audience. The German and English text is part of the full set.

Cornelis (Kees) Vlak was born on 30th September, 1938 in Amsterdam. He was influenced by music at young age and when he was eight years old he got his first piano lessons. Later he played the trumpet in the fanfare orchestra “Waterland“. Vlak studied piano and trumpet at the Amsterdam Conservatory (exames 1959 and 1961), and composition and conducting at the Musiklyzeum Amsterdam.
