Manfred Schneider (1953-2008) is doubtlessly one of the most successful composers of original light concert band music . He created many timeless works with his unmistakable style that is strongly influenced by big band sound and at the same time contains many symphonic elements. Today, his popular melodies are an essential element of concert band repertoire.

His composition Young Life was published in 1990. This little concert piece for young band accompanies many musicians during their first experiences in bands and is a great piece for contests.
