Pavel Stanék transcribed the first movement of the Sonatine opus 137 No. 3 by Franz Schubert for concert band. The Czech composer gives proof of his sure feeling for Schubert's tonal language and for his enormous knowledge of the modern concert band. The transcription is masterly and "Sonatine No. 3" can surely be describes as a true enrichtment of the grade 5-6 band repertoire.
