Markus Goetz blends baroque with romantic elements in this musical meditation. He encourages the musicians to show their emotions. An interpretation influenced by the individual feelings of the players gives the piece an enormous depth and a touching impact. For this reason, Goetz offers many rhythmic liberties, such as rubati and fermatas. He wants each performance to be unique and honest.
