American Composer Stephen Melillo dedicated his 1000. piece for wind orchestra and choir to the music publishing family Rundel in Rot an der Rot (Germany). They are connected by a long time of cooperation and friedship.
The lyrics of „The Prayer of our Lord“ is the text from the Lord's Prayer. Melillo was inspired to put these most important christian words into music by the music of Miklós Rózsa, an hungarian-american composer. The Kreisjugendmusikkapelle Biberach had the opportunity to work with Stephen Melillo in 2006 and had the honor of giving the first performance to his 1000. piece in 2010. Ludwig Kibler edited the German text.
The set includes each 10 vocal scores in German and English.
