In the time after the Great War II, Hans Freivogel was a pioneer of band music and he influenced its development in a newly forming Germany. Since then, several generations of band musicians grew up with his music and still today, his compositions are timeless classics. Being a conductor of different bands he knew what those groups needed and he could incorporate his knowledge in his work as composer and publisher. "Jugend ist Zukunft" (Youth is the future) is an easy, dashing street march that is also very suitable for young bands.
