When planning concerts, the question arises in most instances, what to select as an encore or what to program when you want to present a soloist in the band. The xylophone very often is the instrument to be featured in such cases.
The mixture which Gerd Bogner called "Xylo Classics" will be most appropriate to suit this purpose. The colorful medley combines music from Georges Bizet’s world-famous opera “Carmen”, the ever popular 'Rondo alla turca' from Mozart’s Piano Sonata KV 331 which is generally known as “Turkish March” (Turkish Rondo), the electrifying “Csárdás” by Vittorio Monti, and finally the sparkling 'Allegro' from Gioacchino Rossini’s overture to “William Tell”.
