Novellette for Saxophone Quartet - ENMS-84073 | Partitions

This piece was commissioned by the Vive! Saxophone Quartet in January of 2005. One of the members, Makoto Asari, is a good friend from college who has performed my compositions many times since our freshman year. I still remember how I was encouraged by his enthusiastic performances. This piece celebrates both his marriage and his new wife, Nami Tsurukai, who is also a member of the quartet, as I also wish wonderful success for the Vive! Saxophone Quartet. “Novellette” in German means ‘short novel’. Use your imagination freely to create your own stories with this music and this piece will become more fun. I hope many people get known this piece and enjoy it.
