Percy Grainger, who was born in Australia, created several orginal composition, but also collected British folk songs. This is an arrangement of the popular "Irish Tune from County Derry", better known as "Danny Boy". Grainger also made a band setting of "Shepherd's Hey", whch is a traditional Morris Dance melody. Morris Dancers are traditional English dancers, travelling through th country and accompanied by pipe and tabor.
