“Clarinessa” excels in all of those elements that distinguish the music of Pavel Stanék. This piece for symphonic band and solo clarinet is demanding for both the soloist and the band. It was first produced by the City Band of Memmingen with Klaus Hampel, soloist. Abundant melodies, a contrasting contemporary musical language with a lyrically expressive middle section, colorful rhythm and clear structures are once again the trademark of Stanék. This approach does not only meet with general appreciation, it rather is unanimously esteemed in band circles.
