Yo Goto | Composers

Mr. Goto was born in Akita, Japan, in 1958. He earned an Education degree from the University of Yamagata, and a Specialist/Composition Degree from Tokyo University of Music. Mr. Goto, well known as a composer and arranger of band music, actively serves as a music critic. His overseas recognition also continues to grow. Yo Goto busily lectures throughout Japan, and is valued for his efficient advice and instruction from educational perspective.
Mr. Goto's leading works have been selected as test pieces for the All Japan Band Contest. He is a board member of the Academic Society of Japan for Winds, Percussion and Band, and an advisor of the Japan Band Clinic Committee.
