Solo for Trombone
Solo für Posaune
The English term “trombone” suggests that it actually refers to a large tromba, a trumpet. A long time ago the trumpet was played with a slide. This sound excels that of a brass instrument with valves, but it is much more difficult to play. You may also produce a special sound with a slide, the so-called glissandi. This effect is of a funny and cheerful nature, and consequently is often used for many tricks in a circus. In our composition T-BONE TRICKS the trombone is presented on stage with all the tricks a fine player is able to get across to the audience.
