This work consists of 4 wheel-linked parts alternately "slow-fast-slow-fast". The work starts with an evocation of a flight apparently coming from the depth of the earth. After this orchestral introduction, the soloist appears for the first time. Owing to the alert rhythm and the cheerful atmosphere, the saxophonist (who is in constant dialogue with the orchestra) is spotlighted. After this intoxicating flight, peace returns. The saxophone floats nearer to the earth only to rise high up in the sky, supported by an obsessive rhythm. One last upward movement brings him to the zenith.
