Romance is the best-known melody from the film music that Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich composed for The Gadfly. In the 1980s, the attractive melody became more familiar through its use as the signature tune of the famous television series Reilly, Ace of Spies. The original was written for violin, but in this skilled and appealing arrangement by Ed Keeley the alto saxophone takes the lead.
