Michael Werner | Composers

Michael Werner was born in 1977 in Gera as a child of very musical parents.

After learning the trumpet with Heinrich Dreyhaupt and his father Lothar Werner he attended the music high school Schloss Belvedere in Weimar and had trumpet lessons with Prof. Harry Haustein and Zsolt Nagy-Major as well as lessons for chamber ensemble with Prof. Walter Hilgers. After graduation he studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich, majoring in trumpet (Prof. Hannes Läubin, Prof. Klaus Schuhwerk, Thomas Kiechle) and methodology/didactics (Klaus-Dieter Engel).

As an experiences music educator he wrote the tutor "Die fröhliche Trompete" (Happy Trumpet), to make children enjoy learning this shining instrument.
