Info

A trip to Hungary: Alfred Bösendorfer travels with us to the Hungarian Puszta. He does not use original Hungarian material in his »Little Hungarian Rhapsody«. He exclusively employs themes of his own, but they are clearly Hungarian in character. The first and the last section are composed in the minor key portraying daily gipsy life. The violins of a village band strike up a melancholy air, a fiery czárdás is heard from a rural restaurant. As a contrast the center section is of an idyllic and romantic nature depicting the peaceful atmosphere of the puszta.
