Michael Korb has always had a fondness for bagpipe music. When he came to Berlin after graduating from school in 1975, he immediately took lessons on the unusual instrument from the "pipe major" of a Scottish battalion. When the Scots left, Michael Korb also went to Edinburgh, where he took daily lessons from the already 80-year-old master Paddy Atkinson.
