Like Ceremonial March, Mercury, Arsenal and Minerva, Helios is a traditional concert march, with a somewhat British feel, by Jan Van der Roost. Initially, some catchy themes are presented in a successful combination of solemnity and dynamics. The long, drawn-out trio melody that follows is distinctly melodic. This is a strong characteristic of the previous marches by Jan Van der Roost. Thematic richness combined with a traditional but telling harmony are the musical ingredients of "Helios".
