Info
”Hallelujah” is probably one of the most renowned pop ballads ever. The original version by Canadian singer Leonard Cohen dates from 1984. The emotional song is about biblical topics, such as the secret melody that King David had played for God. The Song became particularly famous through numerous cover versions often used in movies and serials. The most popular versions by Jeff Buckley and John Cale appeared in movies like “Lord of War”, “Into the Wild” or “Shrek”. Heinz Briegel’s new version for concert band can be performed instrumentally or with an additional vocal part.
