Ernst Sachse was a Saxon court musician in Weimar. He often worked with Franz Liszt and was trombonist in the orchestra at the premiere of Richard Wagner's "Lohengrin" (28 August 1855). With his "Concertino for Trombone" he is still part of the repertoire of every good trombonist.
