Karl Komzák (Sohn) wurde am 8. November 1850 in Prag als Sohn des gleichnamigen bekannten Militärkapellmeisters Karl Komzák geboren. Er studierte am Konservatorium seiner Geburtsstadt in den Fächern Violine, Musiktheorie und Dirigieren. Aus seinem reichhaltigen Schaffen ist besonders der "84er Regimentsmarsch" hervorzuheben.
