For many people, music during Advent and Christmas is an expression of joy and celebration. Wind music in particular is very popular. In addition to playing in a large group, chamber music - for example in the context of a church concert - is of particular importance. The instrumentation of the traditional brass quintet is undoubtedly one of the most popular forms of instrumentation. The Czech composer Pavel Stanék wrote the present „4 Weihnachtslieder“ (4 Christmas Carols) for precisely this instrumentation. Based on "Tochter Zion", "Es wird scho glei dumpa", "Auf nach Bethlehem" and "Adeste fideles" he created a suite that goes far beyond the mere editing of the songs. The high musical competence and creativity of the author makes each of the „4 Weihnachtslieder“ (4 Christmas Carols) a masterful composition, which transfers a maximum of musical responsibility to each individual musician.
