Peter Schad war born in Bad Wurzach in 1952. After graduating from high school, he had played as a trombonist in the Army Music Corps 9 in Stuttgart fpr two years. He then studied at Stuttgart University of Music and played as a musician in various ensembles, including seven years tenorhorn with Robert Payer and his "Original Burgenland Band".
