Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky was a Russian composer. He is one of the most important composers of the Romantic era. His most famous works are the Piano Concerto No. 1 in B flat minor, the Violin Concerto in D major, the 1812 Overture, the Symphonies No. 5 in E minor and the No. 6 in B minor Pathétique, the opera Eugene Onegin and the three Ballets Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker. Many of his works were performed internationally during his lifetime.
